dream

Everyone has a dream; some, internalized it, inseparable from their blood and sweat; for some, it’s like that little hard cover book on the coffee table; there is an ownership, but a disconnected one.

The end scene of the dream is always glorious, beautiful, honourable; there you see those around you in standing ovation for the achievements you are felicitated for. The journey towards that moment, the time and distance, the uphill trekking and the walk through the valleys, the islands of isolation and the avalanches of unanticipated challenges, the lengthy journey from moment to moment enduring in pursuit of the dream that you had your true faith on, believing, is but not in the suit that you are seen in that end scene, but a scene of sweating armpit and dry mouth, hungry and thirsty for that taste of success, through the eternal integration of struggles and discoveries of bitter and blissful truth.

Blog BlockIn that journey you had those who denied an opportunity to meet and discuss the integration of your dream with theirs delaying your reaching your destination. But in turning your head in despair did you not see an avenue much wider for you to pursue?

Did you not know all along, that there will come, tomorrow, a moment when you will shake hands with those whose hands withdrew as you extended yours yesterday?

Did you not know that there will come a moment, tomorrow, when your phone will ring with those at the other end who refused to pick yours yesterday?

Every knock of denial whose acceptance you believed would accelerate the pace of your journey in fact, don’t you believe, made your resolution stronger enabling you to travel longer, untiring?

World doesn’t owe you a dream. It offers for you a fertile land, to plough and sow your seed of dreams, and cultivate; in you manifest the desire to succeed, or the fear of failure; what you manifest, you will harvest.

Are you pursuing your dream, or letting you beaten down by those in whose equation you don’t exist?

[PLAY] Life’s Strategies March 4, 2013

Everywhere around you are strategies in play – some perfectly designed, and some others designed with flaws! These are strategies of people executing their designs of life, like a sculpture chiselling out of a stone or marble the shape of his desire. They pour their plans to the mold of people around them like a blacksmith pouring the boiling mixture of alloy into the cast of his design.

Everywhere around you are efforts in play. Everything you see as people doing around you are their efforts to push their life an inch closer to their dreams. A smiling face of a stranger though looked at suspiciously is perhaps the face of a soul hungry for a smile, or just surviving the battering of life that he called destiny! Every action is a designed move consciously picked from the blue-print of his plans to succeed.  There are people whose wisdom allows them to make that move a kind one, acceptable to the society’s norms; there are people whose thinking are distorted from their perception of people and lives around them, and therefore engage in skewed actions that does not fit into the mold of society.

There are no choices if you look at it from one angle. There are abundance of choices if you look at it from another angle. Certain choices are dear to your heart, but you measure its success through the eyes of people you love, or in some ways influence your life. Certain choices are bitter to your taste, but you embrace them for the same reasons – that it’s liked by others. Your passions are pushed under the solid roller of acceptance of the people you are surrounded with.

Strategies are in action. The fact that you are reading this line is not a coincidence. That too is a subconscious execution of a strategy in your mind – and you know better. Nothing happens in vain. Everything has a purpose. The quality of purpose is defined by us, and that is what makes the difference. Actions are only a bye-product of the purpose. What you do, what you do not do, how much you do or how less you do, when you do and how long you do are all determined by the purpose that serves as a compass, directing you to where you are capable of reaching, or away from that destination.

Night is darker before the break of dawn. March 3, 2013

I was woken up in the early hours this morning; perhaps for two years short of a decade we’ve been waiting for this call – news, rather! They’ve been waiting through the night to make it ‘relatively’ morning for us here, so that they can wake us up and share the good news!!

They waited for eight years!!! They had no choice but to persevere. They had no choice but to be patient. They had no choice but to pray – all these years. In the larger scheme of life, eight years were nothing but merely an alphabet in an essay, but to live through it required conscious dodging of questions and queries, being blind to the inquisitive looks of families and relatives all from an orthodox background questioning the capabilities more than understanding the scheme of destiny.

And finally, their prayers are heard; she has conceived a baby; the relief, the joy and the contentment can only be imagined and yet hardly any close to their reality , yet through these comes the message that prayers with good intent never go wasted – it gets delivered perhaps not in the form and shape you had sought but in ways and manners that will deem as good to ones life though its content may appear as beyond one’s immediate comprehension.

No wonder it is said that the night is darker before the break of dawn; just at the verge of resigning to the arms of disappointment, here comes a ray of hope with the glad tidings of the time and blessings to come!

Intense prayer, unwavering patience, timeless perseverance, above all the faith in the Universal Master Scheme is perhaps the answer to the questions of life! When the going gets tough, the tough keeps not just going, but kneels in submission, to mobilize the resources around us, for the universe to conspire and make our dream come true, or to give us the enlightenment of what is right to dream that in achieving that dream I become contented.

What a painting life is, that each single stroke creates a different shape that makes it beautiful than how it was a moment before!!
